Star Trek is launching its 60th anniversary year with a spectacular first step: a customised float in the world-famous Rose Parade® on 1 January 2026 in Pasadena, California.
Unveiled today, the official rendering of the Star Trek 60: Space for Everybody float showcases the franchise’s spirit of hope, inclusivity, exploration, and unity. It also shines a spotlight on the highly anticipated new Paramount+ series Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, while paying tribute to six decades of groundbreaking storytelling.
A Journey Through the Final Frontier — on Parade
From back to front, the float offers a stunning tour of Star Trek’s universe:
The legendary U.S.S. Enterprise rising proudly above a cluster of Star Trek planets.
Vasquez Rocks, the iconic Los Angeles landmark and filming site for countless episodes, standing tall at the rear.
Interactive transporter platforms in the centre, inviting fans to imagine their own beam-up moment.
A Starfleet Academy campus, rising alongside San Francisco’s skyline, symbolising the newest chapter in Trek history.
And at the very front: the iconic Enterprise bridge, where cast members from across the franchise will appear during the parade. (The lineup will be announced at a later date.)
The float was designed by artist John Ramirez and is being built by Artistic Entertainment Services (AES), longtime collaborators on some of the Rose Parade’s most memorable creations.
A Yearlong Celebration Begins
2026 will mark a landmark chapter for the franchise, celebrating six decades of Gene Roddenberry’s vision of “Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations.” With the anniversary theme “Space for Everybody,” Star Trek invites fans everywhere to celebrate a shared future filled with hope, exploration, and boldness.
The Rose Parade float is just the first event in what promises to be a year of unforgettable celebrations across television, film, live events, publishing, and more.
See It First
The Star Trek 60: Space for Everybody float will debut at the 137th Rose Parade® presented by Honda on New Year’s Day 2026, marking the beginning of an anniversary year that boldly goes where no celebration has gone before.
